This book was a real page turner. I couldn’t put it down. Really well written. We see the story from each persons perspective, Gina, Deborah, Luke and “him” I love a book with lots of small chapters. It gives you the option of reading a little then going back to it. Personally I couldn’t stop, after each chapter I need to read the next. Can’t wait to see where this one goes. Carla Kovach thank you for such a great book. Now for the next book in the series ❤️

After reading all the great reviews I was very much looking forward to this book, but did not enjoy it at all. Lacklustre characters and some which were entirely pointless. A rushed ending and generally a complete waste of time.

I think I read this in a day, couldn’t put it down and would recommend. Slight annoyance that it could for sure do with another proofread… starting with the prologue referring to a Loch as a Lock I nearly put it down because it wound me up. If you forgive these slight mistakes it’s worth it however for the good story ☺️

I couldn’t like this book no matter how hard I tried. I found it flat and lacking suspense.
I also found Gina’s frequent visits to the Jenkins house unnecessary at times and repetitive; it often felt like she was there just because she felt like seeing them or something.
I generally didn’t like the story. I thought it would get better as I went on but it didn’t and by the time I realised this, I was too far in and simply decided to finish.

OK so it was an OK book, a lot of unnecessary/filling with personal lives of the police that didn’t have any impact or ending/resolution. The ending wasn’t great, it was very quick with no updates, Debbie didn’t get to say anything about how she felt. Kind of rushed and it was quite a let down sadly.
